Global Reports

​In order to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 related to raising the Kingdom’s competitiveness regionally and globally, as represented by achieving one of the first 10 positions in the Global Competitiveness Report, the National Competitiveness Center studies, analyzes, and follows up on the considered global reports and monitors the Kingdom’s performance in the indicators of those reports. By working on monitoring and analyzing global indicators and reports related to competitiveness and comparing the Kingdom’s performance with the leading countries, in addition to listing the most important indicators and specialized reports in various fields, referred to the relevant government entities and proposing appropriate recommendations for implementation.

The National Competitiveness Center follows up on four competitiveness-related reports, which are the most comprehensive and broad, as they cover a large number of competitiveness factors and have an impact on other indicators. These indicators were chosen because they have a wide scope and fully cover competitiveness factors (legislative environment, safety, infrastructure, labor market, government spending, and human capital).

  • The Global Competitiveness Report (by the World Economic Forum WEF):

The World Economic Forum is concerned with issues of competitiveness of countries, and based on its indicators; WEF issues an annual report on global competitiveness.

This report contains an indicator that measures the impact of laws and regulations on women's economic opportunities in 190 economies and analyzes economic rights during various important stages of the life of working woman through eight indicators.

  • The Human Capital Index (by World Bank Group WB):

It quantifies how much health and education contribute to the level of productivity expected to be achieved by the next generation of the workforce.

  • ​The IMD​ World Competitiveness Yearbook"

This report evaluates countries according to their efficiency in managing their resources to achieve prosperity for their people and covers 63 countries that are currently the most competitive.

The importance of the global reports: 

Global reports monitor, analyze, and review the country’s competitive performance within the framework of its strategy, in a way that reflects its development and improvement efforts, in line with international best practices, in order to improve the country’s indicators, which will contribute to raising its competitiveness and enhance its global position.​
