Monday - 23 June 2025

The National Competitiveness Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 22 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 22 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.

Key projects presented on the platform include a project titled 'Draft Amendment to the Implementing Regulation of the National Associations and Establishments Law,' developed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector. The project aims to empower civil society organizations by streamlining and simplifying their establishment procedures. The public can provide feedback on this project through the Istitlaa platform until June 30, 2025.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization is seeking public feedback on a new regulatory framework titled 'Technical Regulation for Autonomous Vehicles,' which outlines safety requirements for self-driving vehicles covered within the scope of this regulation. The framework also seeks to define the conformity assessment procedures that suppliers must adhere to. Public consultation on this project will remain open until June 30, 2025.

The Ministry of Education is inviting public feedback on a new project titled 'Regulatory Framework for Gifted Education Classes and Schools.' The project aims to establish a clear organizational structure for the operation and management of gifted classes and schools. Public consultation on this project will conclude on July 1, 2025.

The Saudi Water Authority is seeking public feedback on a new project titled 'Procedural Rules for Monitoring Quality Standards of Unbottled Drinking Water.' The project aims to establish clear monitoring requirements and quality standards for unbottled drinking water across the Kingdom. Public consultation on this project will conclude on July 1, 2025.

The introduction of draft regulations, by-laws, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. Likewise, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
