28 Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa

The National Competitiveness Center's Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 28 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 12 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has launched a public consultation on a project titled 'Voluntary Disclosure Regulations for the Waiver of Customs Violations.' The project aims to allow traders to voluntarily pay customs duties before the violation is detected by ZATCA, granting them a full waiver of violations and related penalties in accordance with the specified conditions. Public feedback on this project will be accepted until November 6, 2025.

The Transport General Authority has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled 'Executive Regulations for the Inspection, Maintenance, Repair, and Re-Certification of Marine Rescue Equipment and Devices.' This project aims to regulate the licensing mechanism for establishments engaged in the activity by defining the procedures for issuing, renewing, and canceling licenses, as well as setting the technical requirements and conditions that must be met by applicants. Public feedback on the project is open until November 14, 2025. 

The Public Security Directorate is seeking public feedback on a new project draft titled 'Amending the Executive Regulations for Agricultural Product Production Lines and Valuable Documents.' The project aims to improve security procedures in air transport activities and produce documents of specific value that have been monitored during the past thirteen years from the date of issuance of the regulation. Public consultation on this project will remain open until November 20, 2025.

The Research Development and Innovation Authority has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled Regulation for the Support of Research, Development, and Innovation.' This project aims to introduce provisions that contribute to the development of research, development, and innovation in government procurement by allocating purchases for this purpose, which contributes to stimulating R&D in the Kingdom. Public feedback on the project is open until November 26, 2025.

The introduction of draft regulations, publics, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. In addition, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
